The original page that was here consisted of the Clan MacGreggor but, since the loss of our head of household Baron Eryk MacGreggor I can no longer bring myself to post anymore of the clan other than this explanation and maybe a few excerpts from memories long almost forgotten.

Sorry for the inconvenience of not having the information you were looking for with a search engine. Maybe, I will someday redesign the page to include the medevil organizations and some reference materials but, til then I can only appologize. If you would like to make some suggestions for the rebuild feel free to send an email

I was only page to Baron Eryk for the short time I was with the R.O.C. before I moved from Florida to Ohio. I only participated in the large skirmish battles and the side contests such as knife and axe throwing. My fighting technique at the time was not allowed except for in the skirmish battles. My preffered sword style at the time was Flourintine (Two Swords) or ambidextrous.

I had always even when I was younger had a yearning to learn to fight, not because I liked to but, because of what was involved in the process of the learning. Most people think that fighting is just throwing your fist out at the person in front of you close your eyes and hope you hit something, well there is more to it. Fighting is an art otherwise I would have little to do with it, there is a certain amount of grace required to fight [ and win ]. Your basic bar room brawl usually requires very little grace and calculation, pick up a stool and hit the guy that hit you then sit back down and finish your beer. Not very Hollywood like is it? Well I'll let you in on a secret. Fights on the big screen are long and drawn out for your enjoyment, if you hit someone with a wooden barstool or even a wooden chair hard enough to break it they will go down and most likely won't be coming back for more.

Martial arts is a form of fighting that is taught through the aspect of "you learn to fight so you don't have to", most people don't understand this concept. The discipline that one goes through just to learn the techniques and forms for the art are nothing compared to the wrath of the sensei (sin-say) when he/she finds out that one of their students started a fight just because they knew the art.

I remember my Kenpo sensei very well. The first thing he would say to a new student was " If you are in my Dojo so you can be a better bully the road is that way" and he would point out the window to the highway. If one of his students let their grades drop in high school or even college they would have to face him one-on-one full contact with no padding (those days were not pretty sites). I have always made it a habit to spar with the sensei of a Dojo because if I am going to learn anything from them I need to know they have something to teach. I'm not saying I know it all but, if someone says they are an instructor they know enough to teach, if they say they are a sensei then they should know all there is to know of their art or form.

all in all I would say I know enough to get by, I wouldn't call myself an instructor because I don't know enough to do so but, I do know enough to help someone who is in training or would like to start. Given all my knowledge that I have gathtered in time I believe I could do almost anything within reason with little to no training.

If you are going to make anything of yourself in these times of insanity you must learn to think fast and know when to react. Only when you can do this, will you be ready for the true enlightenment of life that you seek. Disciplne, problem solving and fast thinking are among the most required necessities of life.

Live well my friends and Blessed Be.
